Hi friends and readers, I’m making a web series called JOB!!! this fall. It’s about the difficulty of going to a dumb job that doesn’t matter while the world is in crisis. It features a doll actor, a handmade miniature city getting destroyed, serious discussions about monetary theory, jokes about existential dread, and much more. It stars Ben Kemper, Maggie Schenk, and me (doing some voice acting).

I’m making this for fun, to entertain my friends and hopefully you, and also, most of all, as a way to make some art that addresses the political crises happening in the world right now in a silly way. I don’t pretend it’ll make anything better, but if you’re struggling with world anxiety right now but feeling like you can’t talk about, I hope the series can be sort of a relief valve. That’s what it was for me in writing it.
